Gareth Bale, The right man at the right time for Manchester United

Ever since that night in the San Siro, when Gareth Bale made the then thought-to-be best full back in world football, Maicon, look like a novice, Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for the player. Now, with reports gathering that the club are set to launch a new world record bid in an attempt to land the Welsh Man, the dream of seeing Gareth Bale playing for Manchester United could yet become a reality.

Let’s not kid ourselves here, we have only just entered into the chaos of this summer’s transfer window, with every name under the sun been linked to our club from the usual suspects of  Wesley Sneijder to Nicolas Gaitan, but in the Gareth Bale rumours you can’t help but feel there is truth towards them.

For years now the club have lacked a real World Class winger. Yes we have had Nani do a job on occasions, the same can be said for Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young, but hand on heart they just haven’t been good enough.

In Bale we all know exactly what we would be getting, A genuine World Class footballer who could take us on to the next level. There are few footballers out there who tick almost every box like the Welshman, even Messi’s box remains unticked when it comes to Premier League proven, Bale has that in abundance.

With Bale arguably already in his peak years as a footballer at the age of 26, it makes a move ever more appetizing. If there was ever more a perfect time to move to Manchester United, it would be now. The arrival of Jose Mourinho has brought a smile back onto the faces of the vast majority of the United faithful, the type of smile we haven’t seen since the days of Sir Alex Ferguson. You get the feeling Manchester United are heading back in the right direction and Bale will be fully aware of that.

Whether or not Bale does indeed make the switch to Old Trafford this summer remains to be seen. There can be no doubt Real will play every trick in the book in a bid to keep their star man, but if there is one club out there that can tempt Gareth Bale away from the Spanish giants, it would be Manchester United.

Gareth Bale transfer “edging closer”

A deal between Gareth Bale and Manchester United is edging closer, according to ESPN sources.

It’s no secret that Gareth Bale has been a top target for Manchester United, particularly with Cristiano Ronaldo unlikely to leave Real Madrid any time soon.

It is also stated that United have received ‘significant encouragement’ with Gareth Bale struggling to settle in Spain.

If a big Premier League club should approach with a big money offer it is thought both Bale and Real Madrid would be open to agreeing a deal.

However, should Cristiano Ronaldo leave Real Madrid in the summer, it is very unlikely the La Liga giants would allow Bale to leave.
