Man Utd battling with rivals for Christian Pulisic

Manchester United are monitoring the situation of Borussia Dortmund star Christian Pulisic as manager Jose Mourinho ponders a move for the American in the summer, according to a report on the Daily Mail.

Pulisic has made a name for himself in the German Bundesliga by putting in some phenomenal performances which have seen his value increase drastically.

United are willing to challenge fellow Premier League club Liverpool for the youngster as well as Bayern Munich, who are also interested in securing his services.

If United are to submit an offer, it is likely to be in the region of £40m but Dortmund are keen to keep hold of the 19-year-old.

However, with the signing of Alexis Sanchez, United have incredible depth in attack so it may be difficult to fit Pulisic into the team. Pulisic currently has a contract with Dortmund until 2020 and the German club are eager to get him to extend his deal.

Pulisic has played 81 times for the German club and has managed to find the back of the net 11 times. He is well-known for his ball control and dribbling, as well as his lightning pace on the counter-attack.

Should United submit a bid for him?

Anthony Martial’s Future in Doubt Again!

Anthony Martial’s future at Manchester United has been thrown in to doubt again by Jose Mourinho’s recent actions.

Arguably Manchester United’s player of the season, Martial has excelled on the left hand side of United’s attack providing numerous goals and assists that like Burnley a couple of weeks ago, have turned out to be match winning contributions. However, with the signing of Alexis Sanchez, Martial immediately found himself shoved out to the right hand side against Tottenham, to allow Sanchez to take up his position on the left hand side of the attack.

What message that sends to Martial’s confidence only time will tell, especially when he’s worked tirelessly this season to impress a publicly sceptical Mourinho and delivered the goods.
Martial was back on the left hand side for the second half against Spurs, with Alexis Sanchez moving in the number ten position. But it again it raises the question of how much does Jose Mourinho truly trust and rate Anthony Martial?

It’s been a bumpy ride for Martial over the last eighteen months under Jose with Mourinho constantly criticising Martial whilst championing the more limited talents of Fellaini, Lingard and Rashford. Anthony Martial is without question one of the most exciting young forwards in world football and a firm fan favourite with the majority of Manchester United fans. But Mourinho doesn’t appear to share that excitement for Martial and ultimately it’s Mourinho who will dictate Martial’s Manchester United future.

Signing Alexis Sanchez was a huge statement by the club. But even signing a player of Sanchez’s calibre would be viewed as a waste of time by most fans if that signing was made to replace Martial, who was already established as United’s player of the season elect. Sanchez is required in one of United’s weaker attacking positions as either a right sided attacker or a number ten. But maybe Mourinho has other plans? And those plans may not involve Anthony Martial? Much to the frustration of many Manchester United fans.

Mata reveals he is fully committed to United

Manchester United playmaker Juan Mata has revealed that he is fully committed to the club and has rubbished talks about him potentially leaving the Red Devils, according to a report on GOAL.

With the addition of Alexis Sanchez to the United squad, it looks like Mata will be the one to be dropped to the bench by manager Jose Mourinho for the remainder of the season.

However, the Spaniard can still expect to be heavily involved with United still challenging in the Premier League, UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup and he himself is remaining positive about the remainder of the season.

He said:

Being part of this club is something very special and I can assure you that I keep enjoying every single game like I did with my debut against Cardiff. I’ll never stop thanking you for your support day after day. Thanks to you, being part of this club is really special.

Mata has been linked with a move back to the Spanish La Liga and with his contract expiring in the summer, his future seems uncertain.

United are yet to offer him a 12-month extension option which is in his contract and could lose him for free but the player himself is eager to continue playing for the club.

Mata has hit form in recent months and has been linking up well alongside Jesse Lingard and Romelu Lukaku, which has been pleasing to see for the United fans.

Moreover, Mata will be itching to play as much as possible to ensure he plays a role for the Spain national team in the upcoming World Cup in Russia.

More Holdups In Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United Deal

The Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United deal faces more delays as Man Utd fans reach the end of their patience on the announcement.

All week Manchester United fans have been frantically refreshing their social media accounts awaiting the announcement of Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United, and with Alexis Sanchez having his medical this Sunday afternoon many fans feel an official announcement from the club is just hours away. However, it’s today been reported that the Alexis Sanchez deal could still be another 48 hours away….Whether this is more smoke and mirrors from the press who’ve been saying Sanchez would sign for United in the next 48 hours since 1986 remains to be seen. But how much more can Manchester United fans take?

Alexis Sanchez is the club’s most significant signing in years, literally stealing Arsenal’s best player from under the noses of Manchester City is the sort of signing dreams are made of and the desire to see Sanchez holding up a United shirt is one fans have been waiting for all week.

Let’s hope the reports are wrong and we’ll all be sitting down for Sunday Night LIVE on The United Stand at 8pm with Alexis Sanchez officially a Manchester United player.

Alexis Sanchez in Straight Swap For Mkhitaryan

Alexis Sanchez will join Manchester United in a straight swap deal with Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

There had been talk earlier in the week that Manchester United would pay up to 25 million pounds plus Mkhitaryan to take Sanchez away from Arsenal but it appears Ed Woodward has played hardball with Arsenal and pulled off a deal that places even more scrutiny on Manchester City’s withdrawal over money concerns. It appears more and more likely that Alexis Sanchez simply chose the bigger club in Manchester United.

But whilst Manchester City can turn their open chequebook towards another big signing, the cold hard reality for Arsenal is they were never in a position of strength with Sanchez being out of contract in May and Manchester United clearly used this to their advantage in the negotiations. With both players expected to complete medicals tomorrow and be publicly unveiled by their new clubs, Arsenal fans will no doubt try and see the positive in the recruitment of Mkhitaryan. However, the harsh truth is, like with Robin Van Persie, United are stealing Arsenal’s most precious asset for next to nothing and in return are providing them with a player they no longer want.

Raiola Holds Up Sanchez to Manchester United Deal

Mino Raiola, Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s agent, is now reportedly the biggest factor in the Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United deal. So who is Mino Raiola and how has he become more powerful than Manchester United in this deal?

Alex Ferguson was never a fan of super agent Mino Raiola and blamed him for the loss of Paul Pogba to Juventus, but in recent years Manchester United have been more than happy to feed Raiola’s ego in return for the likes of Pogba, Zlatan, Mkhitaryan and Lukaku.

In the case of Mkhitaryan, it now looks like Raiola could be come the obstacle Sir Alex always said he was….

Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United is a deal that’s been limping on all week and the latest suggestion is that Mino Raiola is the man holding it up. Sanchez and United agreed their part of the deal last weekend, with full details of his wage and signing on fee leaked on Wednesday. However, a deal cannot be achieved until Manchester United and Arsenal agree on the fee, and with Arsenal wanting a player, Mkhitaryan, instead of cash, this is where Raiola comes in and wields his power.

So much power that it’s now being suggested by those close to the deal that it’s up to Raiola if Mkhitaryan goes to Arsenal or not. If Raiola decides it’s good for his client, it will happen. If he doesn’t like the deal it won’t. What that means for Sanchez and United remains to be seen. But it’s another example of the power agents now hold in football and it doesn’t take much guesswork to predict that the biggest factor in whether this deal will go ahead or not will be money.

With Mkhitaryan and Raiola guaranteed to make more money from this deal than they would if he stayed at United on his current contract, or returned to Dortmund who don’t have the financial pull of Arsenal, it’s pretty certain Mkhitaryan will move to Arsenal. But not until Raiola is happy that the slice of the pie he and his client get are to his liking and size.

Alexis Sanchez To Make Manchester United Debut Against Burnley

Alexis Sanchez will make his Manchester United debut against Burnley on Saturday according to reports. The premier league deadline for players to be registered with clubs for the weekend fixtures is midday on Friday, and with two full days to complete the deal Manchester United are confident they can hand Alexis Sanchez his debut in the tough away fixture at Burnley.

Debate still rages on as to how the Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United deal will be structured. The ideal choice for Manchester United and Arsenal is that Henrikh Mkhitaryan features in the deal. This allows Arsenal to bring in a much needed player to replace Sanchez and it allows Manchester United to offload Mkhitaryan, who clearly no longer has a future at the club. However, Mkhitaryan’s resistance to the deal and Mino Raiola’s unrealistic wage demands could scupper this preferred option. That would not ultimately prevent the Sanchez to Manchester United deal going ahead though. Manchester United are willing to pay a straight 35 million for Sanchez, so if Mkhitaryan doesn’t feature in the deal there should be no problem in getting the deal over the line by Friday.

Sanchez deal is a straight swap for Mkhitaryan – No fees included

Manchester United are negotiating a straight swap with fellow Premier League side Arsenal for Chilean superstar Alexis Sanchez, which would see Henrikh Mkhitaryan move to the Emirates, according to a report on Sky Sports.

The Red Devils have been working on a deal for Sanchez for several days now but it has now come to light that there will be no transfer fee included in the negotiations.

Arsenal initially had an asking price of around £30m for Sanchez but with Mkhitaryan being added to the deal, that fee has been scrapped.

Manchester City dropped their interest in the winger as it would cost the club too much, but the fact that United are close to signing him without any transfer fee at all shows that the deal may not be as costly as expected.

Arsenal want to offload Sanchez this month or else they will lose him for free in the summer and Arsene Wenger looks like he is going to be getting a very good deal if Mkhitaryan agrees to join the Gunners.

Mkhitaryan hasn’t hit the heights with United as he did for Borussia Dortmund which saw him win the Bundesliga Player of the Year, but he will get another chance to prove himself in the English top flight.

The Armenian, on his day, can be unplayable, as United saw at the beginning of this campaign when he was picking open opposition defences comfortably.

The Gunners are now negotiating personal terms with Mkhitaryan and if he agrees, then Sanchez will be given the green light to make the move to Old Trafford.

Signing Alexis Sanchez would be a real signal of intent from United and with the gap at the top of the Premier League cut down to 12 points, the Red Devils will feel confident of piling the pressure on for the title before the end of the season.

Griezmann to Manchester United Moves Closer?

Antoine Griezmann or Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United? Who would United fans prefer to be Man Utd’s next number 7 and which is more likely?

With Sanchez out of contract at the end of the season there’s a feeling that Mourinho could scupper Pep’s plans and bring Sanchez to United this January. But where would that leave the Griezmann deal? Would Mourinho want both?

Plus with today’s big news from Atletico Madrid surely the Griezmann deal is more a matter of when not if?

Sanchez and Pelle linked with Manchester United

Premier League experienced Sanchez and Pelle reportedly on United’s radar.

Spanish site Don Balon claim that Louis van Gaal told Alexis Sanchez that he could be the ‘cornerstone’ of the United squad.

However, Sanchez has recently purchased a house in London so it’s unlikely he would up and leave to move north just yet. Also, it would be hard to see Wenger selling a top player to Manchester United again.

Another Southampton player is also allegedly on LVG’s wanted list. And that is Graziano Pelle.

The Italian international is a proven goal scorer in the Premier League and could prove to be a great addition to the United team.

But like Arsene Wenger, it’s hard to imagine Ronald Koeman – who holds Pelle in high regard – would allow his main striker to leave. But money talks!
