Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea, 25, looks set to stay at Old Trafford this summer after the sacking of Louis Van Gaal and the arrival of Jose Mourinho.
De Gea is keen to remain at Old Trafford after the arrival of ‘The Special One’ having reportedly been looking for a move away if Van Gaal was to remain in charge next season.
The United keeper is once again being linked with a summer move to Real Madrid after seeing a proposed move to Madrid last summer collapse at the last minute.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has spoken about the possibility of Madrid signing De Gea but his latest comments have thrown a move into doubt.
Perez was quoted as saying “I am not the one who has to decide,” Perez told reporters “I would say it is very difficult to manage two great players in that position.”
Real Madrid already have Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas as their current 1st choice keeper who had a brilliant season for Madrid keeping 13 clean sheets in La Liga this season.
With these latest comments from the President of Real Madrid and with De Gea wanting to stay at Old Trafford to work with Jose Mourinho we may finally have an end to this transfer tug of war.
Let us know what you think. Will David De Gea stay at United or will Real Madrid get their man?
