Jose Mourinho has made three players available for transfer and is willing to listen to offers over the next two transfer windows.
The three players reported are Daley Blind, Matteo Darmian and Luke Shaw. So far this season, Darmian and Blind have been out of form as left backs and Shaw is out of favour. Blind and Shaw are both out of contract this Summer, and Darmian’s contract runs out in 2019; all three have a one year extension option by the club.
Blind has performed the best out of the three, but he has been given the opportunity of a run of games in the first team. Most United fans are confident that Shaw could be one of our most exciting players had he had the same opportunity, but Mourinho doesn’t trust his tactical awareness as the match develops.
What fee could we expect for each player?
Darmian has already struck up interest from Seria A giants Juventus, Napoli and Roma and rumoured to be going for around £20mil.
It’s rumoured that Daley Blind is being scouted by Turkish rivals Galatasaray and Fenerbahce and the value is again touted to be around £20mil.
Finally, Luke Shaw. The big rumour is that there could be a potential January switch with Spurs left back Danny Rose who is want-away from his current club; Man Utd being his preferred destination.
So there we have it; would you take £40mil and Danny Rose in exchange for Luke Shaw, Daley Blind and Darmian?
For me the only big miss will be Shaw, as we all know what he’s capable of and he could do very well at Spurs. He was our best player under LvG before his leg break, and now he’s the fittest player at the club he could do well again. However, if Jose’s not going to play him then the move for Danny Rose would be a very good consolation.
Where would you reinvest the £40mil?
