Robben to be rescued by United?

Arjen Robben has fallen out with team mate Robert Lewandowski after comments made by the striker.

Arjen Robben has recently returned from a torn stomach muscle injury and has taken no time to get back to his best after scoring twice in Holland’s 3-2 victory over Wales.

However, the Bayern Munich winger has not reacted positively to comments made by team mate Robert Lewandowski. The Polish goal machine has said that Robben is too greedy with the ball and instead prefers to play alongside Douglas Costa and Kingsley Coman.

The spat between the pair has alerted Manchester United who are looking to add a winger to the squad in January. United already have Memphis, Lingard and Januzaj (currently on loan at Borussia Dortmund) but the boss wants proven talent and Robben believes he can still play at the highest level for at least another 2-3 years.

Arjen Robben was close to joining Manchester United back in 2004 after receiving a tour of the club, but United refused to meet PSV’s asking price so Robben ended up signing for Chelsea.

How do you feel about the possibility of Robben joining United? It has also been reported many times that United are interested in Lewandowski. Which of the two would you prefer? Discuss below in the comment section or visit our fan forum and join the discussion here.
